Telenor to enhance user experience using Teradata analytics platform in India

Telenor, a leading mobile operator in India has chosen to use the Teradata analytics platform for its India operations. Teradata’s data warehousing analytics platform was deployed on Telenor’s network in 2014. The platform is expected to improve the efficiency of Telenor operations, and improve the user experience. Customers stand to benefit with high call quality, and Telenor hopes to reduce customer churn.
Analytics is being used to create cost effectiveness, create operational efficiency, lower call centre costs, and offer better incentives to retailers. The demand for mobile and data services is booming in India, and the analytics platform is being used to improve the back ends to support these services. The move translates to more cost efficiency for end users. The analytics platform is used to manage the increasing data traffic in India, and deliver a financial reporting structure.
