Sony has announced the launch of its latest smartphone, the Sony Xperia L2 in the Indian market. The company is aiming to target ‘selfie lovers’ with the Xperia L2 and has priced the device at Rs 19,990.
The Xperia L2 will be available starting today and potential customers have the option to choose the device in either Black or Gold colours.
Xperia L2 will sport a 5.5-inch HD display with Image Enhance Technology and Corning Gorilla Glass to prevent the display from any damage. Sony has added 3 GB RAM along with the 32 GB internal storage and an option to expand the internal storage with a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 256 GB) if they are running out of space. The device is powered by MediaTek MT6737T chipset and it runs on a 3,300 mAh battery.
Similar to other devices in the Sony line-up, the Xperia L2 also comes with STAMINA mode to extend the battery backup along with Qnovo Adaptive charging to increase the speed of charging the battery.
One thing that stood out was that the Xperia L2 will come with Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box in 2018! This is quite surprising as Sony was among the first smartphone makers to release the Xperia XZ1 with Android Oreo 8.0.
Moving to the camera section, Xperia L2 packs a camera sensor with 13 MP resolution and f/2.0 aperture and 3x ‘Clear Image Zoom’ on the back of the device along with a camera sensor with 8 MP resolution and 120-degree super wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture.
The company has added Wi-Fi, VoLTE-enabled dual nano-SIM slots, Bluetooth v4.2, Google Cast, NFC, USB Type-C port and FM Radio as connectivity options in the Xperia L2.
Last but not the least, Xperia L2 also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device.
