Motorola announced the launch of the first in its premium Signature smartphone series in India. During the event, the company claims that the Signature series aims to redefine flagship experience by combining camera innovation, refined craftsmanship, performance, and curated lifestyle privileges. Motorola also introduced the Moto Watch powered by Polar, offering fitness and wellness tracking at a fairly affordable price.
Motorola Signature: Design, cameras, key features, and specifications
The Motorola Signature features an elegant and slim design crafted from brushed aircraft-grade aluminium and rich fabric-inspired finishes, measuring just 6.99 mm thin and weighing 186 grams. Despite its slim design, the phone is quite durable, with IP69-rated ingress protection. The design is elevated by textures and finishes that enhance both the look and feel, reinforcing a modern, premium aesthetic. Available in Pantone-curated colours, the Martini Olive variant features a twill-inspired woven texture for richness, and the Carbon variant offers a linen-inspired textured finish that reflects modern minimalism.
The Motorola Signature features what is supposedly the world’s first Triple Sony LYTIA Pro-Grade camera system, validated by the DXOMARK Gold Label certification for high-quality photo and video performance across real-world scenarios. At the core of the photography department is a 50MP main camera with Sony’s new LYTIA 828 sensor, delivering high-quality imaging with Dolby Vision video recording in 8K and 4K resolution up to 60 FPS, advanced noise reduction, and 3.5 degrees optical image stabilisation (OIS).
The main camera is supported by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 periscope telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom, OIS, and up to 100X Super Zoom Pro, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with 122 degrees field of view and close-focus macro capability. Lastly, a 50MP Sony LYTIA 500 front camera supporting 4K video at 60 FPS completes the trifecta of Sony cameras. The camera system is further enhanced with Pantone Validated Colour and SkinTone calibration and a multispectral 3-in-1 light sensor for accurate exposure, white balance, and colour reproduction.
The Motorola Signature has ample processing power and storage for a variety of needs. It is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of fast UFS 4.1 storage. To sustain peak performance, the company has used an advanced thermal system with a large 6,002 sq mm vapour chamber and an ArcticMesh Cooling System to keep things cooler during intense workloads.
The phone sports a large 10-bit 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 6200 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision and HDR10+ compliance. The screen is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The dual stereo speakers on this phone have been tuned by Bose and are Dolby Atmos compliant. The Motorola Signature is fitted with a 5200 mAh Silicon-Carbon battery for all-day performance and supports 90W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone runs Android 16 with seven years of OS and security updates promised.
Extending the experience beyond hardware, this Motorola smartphone offers exclusive Signature Club privileges, delivering a 24/7, on-demand privilege access service seamlessly integrated into the device. Every Motorola Signature user receives a complimentary one-year Signature Club app subscription, unlocking curated support across travel, golfing, wine and dining, art and culture, shopping and business services, alongside everyday lifestyle assistance, in addition to some introductory discounts on certain services.
