Lamborghini launches the new Urus SE hybrid performance SUV starting at Rs 4.57 Crore

Lamborghini has introduced the all-new Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid performance SUV, in India. Its starting price is Rs 4.57 crore (ex-showroom).

Lamborghini’s latest high-performance hybrid, the Urus SE, blends impressive power with eco-friendly technology. It features a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo petrol engine paired with an electric motor, boasting 800 hp and 950 Nm of torque. They have a top speed of 312 km/h.

The Exterior
The Urus SE retains the familiar sleek silhouette of the Urus S but incorporates minor design tweaks.

The most noticeable changes are at the front, where the C-shaped LED DRLs replace the signature Y-shaped lights. The bonnet has been redesigned, omitting the air scoops found on other models. The grille and front bumper have also been updated for a refreshed look.

On the side, the new alloy wheels, available in sizes from 21 to 23 inches, are a standout feature. The rear gets a refreshed bumper, diffuser, and a hexagonal mesh pattern inspired by the Lamborghini Gallardo. This design adjustment isn’t just for aesthetics—it reportedly boosts high-speed downforce by 35 percent over the Urus S.

The Interior
Inside, the Urus SE offers a more luxurious and tech-forward experience. The dashboard has received a three-dimensional redesign, revised air vents, and new seats. The most significant update is the larger 12.3-inch central touchscreen (up from the previous 10.1-inch), running the latest software in the Lamborghini Revuelto.

Lamborghini offers various customization options for the Urus SE, with over 100 exterior color choices and 47 interior finishes through the Ad Personam program.

The Powertrain
The Urus SE is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that produces 620 hp and 800 Nm of torque on its own. When combined with the 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the total system output reaches 800 hp and 950 nm. The electric motor is integrated into the 8-speed automatic gearbox, enabling an all-electric range of 60 km and speeds of up to 130kph before the petrol engine kicks in. Lamborghini claims the Urus SE can sprint from 0 to 100kph in 3.4 seconds.

This hybrid SUV also has four-wheel drive, even in EV mode. The Urus SE includes ten driving modes, including road, track, and off-road settings, for added versatility. Notably, four new modes—EV Drive, Hybrid, Recharge, and Performance—allow drivers to optimize both battery use and vehicle performance.

Advanced Driving Features
The Urus SE features advanced suspension technology, including air suspension and a 48V anti-roll bar, to enhance stability and control. It also features an electronic limited-slip rear differential, which provides improved handling in various driving conditions.

With this launch, Lamborghini is pushing the boundaries of hybrid performance, blending luxury, power, and eco-friendly features in a stunning package. The Urus SE is positioned as a significant player in the high-performance SUV segment, particularly with its focus on both on-road and off-road driving capabilities.
