On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, telecom giant Reliance Jio unveiled Jio AirFiber, which is now available in eight major Indian metropolitan cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.
Jio AirFiber offers a range of tariff plans, starting at Rs 599 for a 30 Mbps speed connection. This plan includes access to more than 550 digital channels and 14 OTT apps. There are also three Jio AirFiber Max plan tiers, which start at 300Mbps for Rs 1,499, along with the same digital channels and OTT apps.
Customers can choose from six-month or one-year subscription options for Jio AirFiber plans. The official launch date was announced by Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, during the company’s 46th Annual General Meeting on August 28th, and it coincides with a significant festival in India, Ganesh Chaturthi.
Jio AirFiber” guarantees fiber-like speeds without the requirement for physical wiring. It’s a hassle-free setup – users need to plug it in, power it on, and they’re ready to enjoy high-speed internet. Moreover, users can establish a personal Wi-Fi hotspot within their homes, connecting to ultra-high-speed internet supported by True 5G technology.
Getting Jio AirFiber Installed
Getting started with the process is simple. If you’re interested, you can initiate the booking process by giving a missed call to 60008-60008 through WhatsApp, visiting the Jio website, or heading to your nearest Jio Store for more information.
After that, you’ll need to register for Jio AirFiber services, and Jio representatives will contact you to assist with the next steps. Do note that your building needs to fall under the area where Jio AirFiber is serviceable.
Once done, a team of technicians will visit you where you want to install the device and set it up for you. The team that calls you to install the device will install an outdoor unit, after which JioAir Fiber’s main WiFi router can be set up in any corner of your property and even moved around.
The set-up process is also straightforward – plug and play is the primary router device that will provide access to 5G internet.
There is an installation fee of Rs 1,000, but this charge can be waived if you subscribe to an annual plan. Additionally, users can pay for their subscription through monthly credit/debit card-based EMI (Equated Monthly Installment) payments and still enjoy the benefits of an annual plan. This flexibility allows users to choose a payment option that suits their preferences and budget.
