In India, HP has unveiled its latest AI-powered laptops, the EliteBook Ultra and OmniBook X. These new devices leverage the Arm-based Snapdragon X Elite platform, incorporating a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to handle 45 trillion operations per second (TOPS).
This advanced processing capability supports executing large language models (LLMs) and generative AI directly on laptops, marking a significant technological advancement.
The EliteBook Ultra and OmniBook X are targeted at both business and retail consumers. They feature a dedicated Copilot key that enhances users’ access to Microsoft’s Bing AI.
HP has touted these laptops as offering more than 26 hours of battery life, combined with a thin and lightweight design. These attributes make them especially suitable for mobile professionals and tech-savvy freelancers who need reliable, long-lasting devices.
HP EliteBook Ultra and HP OmniBook X: specs and features
The HP EliteBook Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite X System on Chip (SoC), paired with a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU. It boasts a 14-inch 2K diagonal touchscreen display with a peak brightness of 300 nits.
The laptop runs at a clock speed of 3.4GHz, supported by an Adreno GPU, and offers up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD storage. Additional features include a full-size backlit keyboard and a 5MP infrared front camera. It is equipped with a 59Wh battery that supports 65W USB Type-C charging. For connectivity, it includes two USB Type-C ports, a USB Type-A port, and a stereo headphone jack.
Similarly, the HP OmniBook X features a 14-inch 2.2K IPS touch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and up to 300 nits of brightness. It is powered by the same 3.4GHz Snapdragon X Elite processor and Adreno GPU as the EliteBook Ultra.
This model has 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage. The OmniBook X also includes a 59Wh battery that supports 65W USB Type-C charging and offers connectivity options such as two USB Type-C ports, a USB Type-A port, and a headphone/microphone combo jack.

Both laptops come equipped with the HP AI Companion, a built-in personal AI assistant designed to provide a personalized approach to file analysis and management using generative AI. The devices are also equipped with Copilot+. The new Poly Camera Pro utilizes the NPU to deliver AI enhancements such as Spotlight, Background Blur & Replace, and Auto Framing, which help preserve CPU battery life.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the EliteBook Ultra and OmniBook X incorporate 50 percent recycled aluminum in their covers and 100 percent sustainably sourced materials for packaging. They also boast EPEAT Climate+ Gold Registration and ENERGY STAR Certification, highlighting HP’s commitment to environmentally friendly practices. Weighing just 1.3 kg, these laptops are both portable and durable.

The HP EliteBook Ultra is available in Atmospheric Blue for Rs 1,69,934, while the HP OmniBook X is available in Meteor Silver for Rs 1,39,999.
