In the era of AI evolution and recent developments in AI integration, Google has launched the Google AI Professional Certificate. A new learning technique will help students develop real-world artificial intelligence skills.
The certificate provides a series of courses that help students move beyond basic AI concepts into hands-on activities that simulate real-world tasks. Students will complete over 20 hands-on projects to build a portfolio demonstrating their skills in applying AI tools to planning, brainstorming, research, writing, data analysis, and app development without coding.
What does the curriculum include?
According to the program’s official page, the curriculum includes learning skills and learning compliance that optimize workflows by chaining tasks into automated processes.
Google’s own AI applications, such as Gemini apps, NotebookLM, Gemini Canvas, and Google Workspace integration, will also be included in the curriculum to provide students with hands-on experience with industry-leading technology.
The certificate includes three months of free access to Google AI Pro, which helps to advance AI models and capabilities such as Gemini, Flow, and NotebookLM, as well as extra cloud storage.
The certificate is the best model for international learners and can be completed at one’s own pace. It added that the certificate is relevant in the corporate world, as it provides statistics on the growing importance of AI literacy in organisations, and that AI-literate individuals experience increased productivity and compensation.
The course offers six courses which have different topics andare categorised into different sub-sets:
Course 1: Fundamentals of AI
It introduces one to the fundamentals of AI and how it has impacted our daily lives, enabling us to use it efficiently.
Course 2: AI for Brainstorming and Planning
How can one use AI to brainstorm ideas and plan and execute practices to build detailed timelines and create a clear plan?
Course 3: AI for research and insight
Use AI as your research partner, leveraging personal AI chatbots involving Deep Research and NotebookLM to quickly generate summaries, gain insights, and pressure test ideas for informed decision-making.
Course 4: AI for Writing and Communicating
AI can help one sharpen writing practices and prepare for presentations by anticipating questions and providing factual answers.
Course 5: AI for Content Creation
AI can also be used as a creative partner, from content creation to regulation, helping generate high-quality images and videos.
Course 6: AI for Data Analysis
Transforming unstructured data uniformly and mastering skills to clean and analyse, compelling visualisations and formulas with Gemini and Google Sheets.
