Dell, a prominent player in the tech industry, has introduced its latest offerings, including the next-generation XPS laptops and UltraSharp monitors, in anticipation of CES 2024.
These cutting-edge products will be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show or CES 2024 in Las Vegas, marking a significant leap in Dell’s technology portfolio.
Next Gen, AI-enabled XPS Laptops
The new lineup of XPS laptops takes center stage, featuring the powerful Intel Core Ultra series processors, complete with a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for efficiently handling AI tasks.
Dell has embraced unity in design across its XPS range, incorporating the minimalist design of the XPS 13 Plus, characterized by a sizable glass trackpad, into the more significant XPS 14 and XPS 16 variants.
All three variants boast a premium aesthetic with an aluminum body and Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the OLED touchscreen, available in both touchscreen and non-touchscreen models. Dell emphasizes sustainability by using eco-friendly materials for both packaging and product construction.
The laptops introduce a new touch function row, enabling seamless switching between media and function keys. The keyboards have been revamped with larger keycaps for an enhanced and comfortable typing experience. Additionally, a 1080p webcam is standard across all three variants.
Performance-wise, the XPS 13, XPS 14, and XPS 16 are powered by Intel Core Ultra processors and complemented by the powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 mobile GPU. The laptops are set to be available in select markets soon, with the XPS 13 priced at $1,299, the XPS 14 at $1,699, and the larger XPS 16 carrying a price tag of $1,899 in the US.
Dell UltraSharp Monitors
In addition to the laptops, Dell introduces its UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt TM Hub Monitor (U4025QW), touted as the world’s first 40-inch 5K monitor designed for five-star eye comfort, minimizing eye strain compared to its counterparts.
The monitor features a 5K resolution ultra-wide angle panel, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, and an impressive sustained brightness of up to 600 nits during HDR content playback. The refresh rate has doubled to 120Hz, enhancing the viewing experience.
Equipped with a built-in ambient light sensor, the UltraSharp 40 monitor automatically adjusts screen brightness based on ambient light conditions. Offering a 99 per cent DCI-P3 colour accuracy, users can further calibrate colours using the Dell Color Management software. The Thunderbolt 4 port supports up to 140W power delivery, simplifying cable management for modern laptops.
The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved ThunderboltTM Hub Monitor (U4025QW) is priced at $2,399.99 in the US. Additionally, Dell introduces the more affordable Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved ThunderboltTM Hub Monitor (U3425WE) with a WQHD display and up to 90W power delivery, available at $1,019.99 and set to hit the market on February 27.
