Dell launches Snapdragon X-powered Copilot+ AI PCs in XPS, Inspiron line: Check price, specs


Dell has launched its latest PC lineup in India: the XPS 13 and Inspiron 14 Plus models, which feature Microsoft’s Copilot AI. Both use Snapdragon’s X series processors to improve users’ AI experiences.


Both laptops promise all-day battery life, ensuring users can search, create, and work without interruptions. They integrate Qualcomm Hexagon NPU for local AI processing and include the Copilot+ feature, which is designed to boost performance, productivity, efficiency, and convenience.

Raj Kumar Rishi, vice president and managing director of consumer and small business at Dell Technologies India, announced the introduction of Dell’s Copilot+ AI PCs for Indian customers. He expressed enthusiasm about the innovative lineup powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, highlighting Dell’s commitment to empowering users with advanced AI technology.

Saurabh Arora, Head of Mobile, Compute, and XR Business at Qualcomm India, emphasized the partnership’s impact on India’s PC ecosystem, noting that the Snapdragon X Series’ advanced AI capabilities and power efficiency will redefine user experiences with seamless multitasking, enhanced security, and diverse use cases.

Dell XPS 13: Specifications
The Dell XPS 13 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon X1 EliteX1E-80-100 CPU, ensuring high performance and efficiency. It utilizes Qualcomm Adreno GPU and Qualcomm Hexagon NPU to deliver smooth graphics performance, reduce heat emissions, and minimize noise.

The XPS 13 boasts impressive battery life, offering up to 27 hours on a single charge, including continuous streaming on an FHD+ display. Additionally, an OLED display option provides higher brightness and lower power consumption, extending activity time by more than 10 percent compared to previous OLED generations.

Dell Inspiron 14 Plus: Specifications
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 processor, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus offers versatile performance. It provides up to 21 hours of local video playback or up to 15 hours of streaming 4K content on a single charge with its QHD+ display.

The new Inspiron variant also includes dual microphones that support voice commands for effective audio capture. Qualcomm’s Always-On Sensing technology and presence detection enhance security by enabling secure logins and protecting screen content from unauthorized viewers.

AI features
The XPS 13 and Inspiron 14 Plus feature AI experiences powered by Snapdragon X Series platforms, enhancing user productivity. The laptops include CoCreator, which enables AI-generated image creation using descriptive words and brushstrokes, and Live Captions, which translates live or pre-recorded audio from 44 languages into English. New Windows Studio effects allow users to adjust lighting and apply creative filters, making these laptops ideal for boosting productivity and unleashing creativity.

Pricing and Availability in India
Starting July 16, 2024, the new XPS 13 and Inspiron 14 Plus will be available through Dell’s website, DES, and various retail partners, including Croma, Reliance Retail, Vijay Sales, and Amazon.in. The XPS 13 comes in three variants, priced from ₹1,39,990 to ₹1,69,990, while the Inspiron 14 Plus offers two variants priced between ₹1,15,590 and ₹1,19,590.
