Backbone officially enters Indian market, launches Backbone One gaming controller starting at Rs 7.5K

The gaming scene in India just got more exciting with Backbone’s entry into the market. The company has launched its innovative Backbone One controller, aiming to elevate the mobile gaming experience.

Designed to turn smartphones into handheld gaming consoles, this controller taps into the growing demand for high-quality mobile gaming accessories.

Backbone One: Features and Design

The Backbone One is a sleek and versatile gaming controller that supports any game with native controller functionality. Compatible with both Android and iPhone devices, it works with games from the App Store, Google Play Store, and even Netflix Games. Additionally, it supports cloud gaming services like PS Remote Play, Xbox Cloud Gaming (with an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription), and Steam Link, enabling console-quality gaming on the go.

With swappable magnetic pads, the Backbone One adjusts to fit various phone models, even with cases. The controller comes equipped with features such as analogue triggers, thumbsticks, D-pads, and action buttons, ensuring a familiar gaming experience. Dedicated buttons for game capture, muting, and launching the Backbone app make it user-friendly. A 3.5mm headphone jack and USB-C or lightning port enable seamless connectivity and charging while gaming.

Backbone offers two versions of the controller in India. Priced at Rs 7,499, the first-generation model caters to older iPhone models (pre-iPhone 14) and incorporates a lightning port. The second-generation model, available in USB-C and lightning options, costs Rs 12,499 and supports a broader range of devices.

Available in Black and a PlayStation-themed White edition resembling the PS5 controller, the Backbone One is now on sale via Amazon, making it accessible to gaming enthusiasts across India.
