Asus launches Expertbook Ultra in India, an AI-powered flagship business laptop

Asus has launched its flagship Expertbook Ultra laptop in India, promising powerful performance and durability in a compact, lightweight form factor. The laptop weighs less than a kilo and is less than 11 mm thick, but it packs a serious punch courtesy of Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics, a generous amount of LPDDR5X RAM, and a PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD.

The laptop is made of aerospace-grade AZ31B Magnesium-Aluminium alloy chassis with 9H Hardness Nano Ceramic Coating technology for long-lasting protection against scratches, stains and rigours of travel. Let’s quickly explore the key aspects of this compact yet powerful Asus laptop.

Performance

Powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and Asus ExpertCool Pro technology with dual pressure fans with 97 ultra-thin blades, this Copilot+ PC claims to maintain a 50W TDP without throttling, along with up to 180 Platform TOPS and promises to deliver a 3x AI performance jump.

Storage and Memory

The Asus Expertbook Ultra features a PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD with up to 2 TB capacity, with ultra-fast read speeds up to 14,090 MBps, and up to 64 GB of ultra-high-speed LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 9600 MT/s, ensuring brisk execution of even the most complex data models.

Display

It features an immersive 14-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) Tandem OLED anti-glare touchscreen display that claims to extend the lifespan of the panel drastically, reduce power consumption by 40% and achieve up to 1400 nits of peak HDR brightness, HDR 1000 True Black, 133% sRGB coverage, and offer a 144 Hz variable refresh rate. It also features Nano-Etching and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Matte, low-reflectivity, anti-glare glass for clear visuals.

Audio

The laptop includes a premium 6-speaker spatial audio system with dual-magnetic woofers and dedicated Dolby Atmos-tuned tweeters. With an impressive peak loudness of 95 dB, the Asus ExpertBook Ultra is designed for vivid virtual engagements with deep bass and clear vocals.

Connectivity and Ports

The laptop has a good spread of high-speed ports, including 2x Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a full-size HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5 mm jack. Battery backup

The laptop is fitted with a high-density 4-cell 70 Wh battery that claims to deliver up to 26 hours of battery life. It can be paired with a 90W USB-C fast charger to charge the battery to 50% in just 30 minutes.
