Apple introduced its latest Apple Watch Series 10 during the ‘Glowtime’ event, unveiling a range of new features, updates to the more affordable Apple Watch SE, and a fresh color variant for the Watch Ultra 2.

These announcements were made alongside the much-anticipated iPhone 16 series. The standout feature of the Apple Watch Series 10 is its ability to detect sleep apnea using an improved ECG function.

Apple Watch Series 10 Pricing and Availability in India
The Apple Watch Series 10 is set to be available in two variants. The GPS model is priced at $399, while the GPS+Cellular version will cost $499 in the United States. In India, the pricing starts at ₹46,900, and pre-orders will begin on September 20th. A titanium variant of the watch has also been introduced, priced at ₹79,900.

Key Features and Specifications of Apple Watch Series 10
The Apple Watch Series 10 features the largest and most advanced display in the lineup, boasting a wide-angle OLED screen. The display offers up to 30 percent more screen area than its predecessors, making it significantly more prominent and brighter, especially when viewed at angles. This improved display makes it easier to use during various activities. The watch’s design has been refined, with more rounded corners and a wider aspect ratio, creating a sleek, streamlined appearance. The front crystal, made from durable ion-X glass, now extends further down the sides of the case, enhancing the device’s durability and visual appeal.

This new model is also the thinnest Apple Watch yet, measuring 9.7 millimeters thick and nearly 10 percent thinner than the Series 9. A redesigned metal back integrates the antenna into the housing, improving cellular performance while providing water resistance up to 50 meters. The watch has various finishes, including polished aluminum and titanium options. The aerospace-grade titanium material makes the watch lighter than previous stainless-steel models.

Powered by Apple’s new S10 chip, the Series 10 includes a quad-core neural engine. It offers advanced intelligent features such as on-device Siri, dictation, and automatic workout detection. The redesigned speaker system is 30 percent smaller but now supports direct playback of music and podcasts from the wrist.

The watch introduces new health and fitness features, including depth and water temperature sensors, making it ideal for water sports. The sleep apnea monitoring feature is a significant addition, helping users identify symptoms of this potentially dangerous condition. The battery lasts up to 18 hours on a single charge, and the watch can reach 80 percent charge in just 30 minutes, offering quick power-ups for those on the go.

Apple Watch Ultra 2: Enhanced Durability and New Features
Alongside the Series 10, Apple has launched a new color for its rugged Apple Watch Ultra 2. Designed for those seeking durability and high performance, the Ultra 2 features a titanium case and a scratch-resistant sapphire front crystal. It is equipped with dual-frequency GPS and advanced positioning software, improving location tracking accuracy. This makes the Ultra 2 ideal for athletes and adventurers, with specialized metrics, custom workouts, and automatic stroke detection for swimmers. Features like lap counts and training load insights further enhance its appeal to runners, cyclists, and swimmers who require precision in their workouts.

The Ultra 2 also caters to hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, with features like a depth gauge for diving, offline maps, and turn-by-turn navigation. The built-in Compass app provides essential data such as latitude, longitude, and waypoint navigation, making it a reliable tool for short hikes and extended treks. The watch’s new satin black finish, achieved through a custom blasting process and diamond-like carbon PVD coating, offers enhanced scratch resistance. Constructed from 95 percent recycled Grade 5 titanium, this material is commonly used in aerospace engineering, underscoring the durability of the Ultra 2.

In addition to the new design, updated bands such as the titanium Milanese Loop, available in natural and black finishes, have been introduced. These bands offer an elegant, corrosion-resistant design, further elevating the premium look of the Watch Ultra 2.
