Apple launches new iMacs with Apple Intelligence, powered by M4 silicon, starting at Rs 1,34,900

Apple has rolled out its latest iMacs, now powered by the brand-new M4 chip, marking a fresh wave of updates from the tech giant. Alongside the upgraded computer, the company has also introduced new accessories, including a Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Trackpad, now featuring USB-C ports for more convenient charging. This latest launch kicks off a series of exciting product announcements expected from Apple in the coming days.

The new iMac is Apple’s first machine to boast the M4 chip, which appeared in the latest iPad Pro models. Two variants of the iMac are available: a base model equipped with an 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, and 16 GB of RAM, priced at Rs 1,34,900, and a slightly more powerful version featuring a 10-core CPU and GPU, retailing at Rs 1,54,900. Both models offer customization options with up to 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage. Pre-orders are now open, with official sales kicking off on 8th November.

Apple describes the M4-powered iMac as the world’s top all-in-one computer for artificial intelligence. The design hasn’t changed much from its previous iteration, which housed the M3 chip. Still, it now includes upgraded features like a 12MP Center Stage camera and Thunderbolt 4 ports for faster data transfer and extra display support.

One of the standout additions to this iMac is Apple Intelligence, a new feature suite that brings enhanced AI capabilities straight out of the box. This includes ChatGPT-powered Siri and AI-driven writing tools, giving users a more intuitive computing experience. Apple plans to roll out a software update for other devices with Apple Silicon, extending these features to the iMac, Mac mini, MacBook, and Mac Pro.

The Mac’s colorful charm continues, with the latest models available in seven shades: green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. Apple’s leadership claims the new iMac offers game-changing performance, blending the power of the M4 chip with the efficiency of Apple Intelligence.

Compared to its M1 predecessor, the new M4 version promises to be up to 1.7 times faster, improving gaming performance by over 2 times. It has a minimum of 16 GB of RAM—a noticeable upgrade—and offers speeds 4.5 times quicker than some of the most popular Intel-powered 24-inch all-in-one PCs. The 24-inch display remains a high-resolution beauty, now with a nano-texture glass option previously seen only in Apple’s premium Studio Display.

The new iMac doesn’t skimp on ports, either. It packs four USB-C ports that support Thunderbolt 4 and a trusty 3.5mm headphone jack on the side. Matching accessories, like the Magic Mouse, Keyboard, and Trackpad, are available in the same bright colors as the iMac, giving the setup a seamless look. These accessories now charge via USB-C, which is even more in line with Apple’s latest design approach.

With powerful performance, a splash of color, and a suite of AI tools, the new iMac promises to be more than just a pretty face. Apple seems set to give users a computing experience that’s smarter, faster, and more fun than ever.
